Fagus sylvatica purpurea (Copper/Purple Beech) - Bareoot Available November to March - 40 - 60cm

A very ornamental form of beech with leaves that are bronze in early spring and deepen to purple as the year progresses. Beech can be grown as a close clipped formal hedge and if it is kept under 3 metres in height it will retain its leaves all winter long. Although it is deciduous, it has the good habit of holding on to its leaves until the new ones emerge in spring.
