Corylus avellana (Hazel) - Bareroot Available November to March - (40 - 60cm)

Our native cob nut is a superb little, multi-stemmed tree with attractive yellow catkins in February followed by hazelnuts in the late summer. Hazels also make superb coppice plants where their straight stems can be harvested and used as bean sticks and to make hurdles. No native hedge should be without hazels and they form an integral part of the traditional mix for country hedges.
